The smoothie manufacturer «Innocent» has started a cooperation with the sneaker brand «Vlace». Together they present the “Fruity Kicks”. These are sneakers made from apple residues, which are produced during the apple juice production process.
Fruity Kicks: Fashionable, sustainable and even vegan
Our vision is represented by our cooperation that created “Fruity Kicks”: These urban white sneakers not only look great and are insanely comfortable. They also have some features that make our green hearts beat faster.
The leather is made from innocent apple pomace, a by-product of apple juice production.
Circular sports shoes
The material is made of 31% apple pomace, 33% recycled polyurethane (PU), 16% cotton and 20% recycled polyester.
Padding of the inside of the shoe from old PET bottles
The padding of the inside of the shoe is made from old PET bottles that could no longer be recycled into bottles and were therefore upcycled for a new life as an inner shoe.
The soles of the shoes were mostly recycled from old soles.
The shoes are lovingly handmade in 50 steps in a small family-run shoe factory in Portugal.
